Practice Supervisor

Under general direction from the operations manager, the practice supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the office is operating efficiently in the areas of staffing, patient/optometrist schedules, operations and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Participate as a member of the direct patient care team as a patient care coordinator, optometric assistant, or optician.
• Manage patient, doctor and staff schedules.
• Act as a resource and coach to staff members and doctors regarding daily operation, compliance and patient service matters.
• Provide and ensure a high level of customer service excellence through responsiveness and resolution of inquiries.
• Stay current with all three office positions in order to work alongside, mentor, train, and perform coverage when needed.
• Monitor accuracy of data input, patient health record maintenance, and billing/coding.
• Prepare daily and monthly reports for site statistics, payroll, and accounts receivable.
• Provide advocacy, training, assessment, and mentorship for 8-10 office staff members.
• Coordinate ordering of supplies and maintenance of site equipment.

• 1-3 years progressive management and/or supervisory experience in a customer service role.
• Background in medical office work
• Have a passion for both the patient and our employee's experience

• Comfort with computer hardware and Windows-based software programs

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
